SINUS LIFT

Sinus lifting is to add bone to the area where the procedure will be performed in implant surgery. It is the process of regenerating bone for patients who do not have teeth, especially in the upper jaw and posterior region. As the teeth under the sinuses are pulled out, the bone thickness in the area becomes thinner over time. The bone volume in the sinus area is reduced. There is a possibility that the implant intended to be placed in the bone will fail due to insufficient bone level. Accordingly, sinus lift operation is performed. Usually, this procedure is performed with local anesthesia. Although it takes 15-20 minutes, if the implant procedure will be performed with sinus lifting, an extra 5-10 minutes will be sufficient for the physician. Both sinus lift and implant placement generally take 30-40 minutes.
